Who is Raven?

Raven has spent over 30 yrs in the health and wellness industry AND for many years he helped develop and run a number of cancer treatment centres. He has a very wide knowledge of the issues that people are being faced with today in areas of health, and is passionate about providing education for people to make informed decisions about their life and how to get the best of health in all areas.

The Inside Story

Being healthy in today’s world is no longer the straight forward process it once was before industrial-scale food processing and intensive farming. We tend to associate ill health and deprivation with earlier times but the awkward fact is that today’s levels are now soaring in many areas of the world.

Mortality rates have increased dramatically but has the quality of life improved to match? With the huge benefit of modern advances in so many areas the question must be – why not? During my 30 years in the healthcare industry, I have made some simple observations and noted with horror their impact on humanity. The levels of ill health and disease are increasing at alarming rates, as the divide between the haves and have-not’s grows even wider.

Stressed In

Stress is now an ever present part of everyday life for us all, regardless of age. Technology has added significantly to these stress levels even though the intention was probably to make life easier!
There is a real need to take responsibility for one’s own life and health. This is no longer just the rhetoric of the new age warriors, it is a necessity for everyone. This is not as onerous a task as you may think.
At a time of strict food rationing during and after WW2, families supplemented their diet by rearing poultry and growing vegetables and fruit in their gardens and allotments. Food was wholesome and tasted as food should. Dairy products and meat were less available then. But disease and obesity was significantly lower.

The Missing Link

Could there be a link? In today’s world, 1 in 3 people will be diagnosed with cancer. 68% of the population of modern Britain is either diabetic or pre-diabetic. Parkinson’s disease, chronic fatigue syndrome, Alzheimer’s and countless other health problems are
being faced by virtually every family on the planet; and the situation is not improving.

Correct the Fuel in Your Tank

If you mistakenly used petrol instead of diesel to fuel your car, common sense says that it could not function properly. Consider your body in the same way. If you are eating food that is nutritionally bereft, grown in mineral deficient earth, harvested before it has ripened properly, forced to grow in unnatural toxic environments, sprayed with hazardous chemicals for protection against pests and then maybe subjected to machine processing in industrial quantities, how can your body function properly?

Furthermore, we are now eating foods mainly purchased from superstores that dictate agricultural practices to farmers, worldwide. Food is tailored to conform to their notion of shape, size, colour and weight – and it is being harvested before its natural ripening time to ensure a longer shelf life and increased profits. The focus is on appearance rather than nutrition.

What on Earth to Eat?

As consumers, we normally have only a sketchy idea of the essential nutrient requirements of our body and the diet required to sustain even an average lifestyle. Rapidly proliferating fast food outlets and the vast choice of readily available pre-packed meals tell a story of pressure and haste leading to lack of energy, obesity, general lack of well being and worse. When you consider that we are also using gas to artificially ripen fruit and spraying other foods with fragrances to persuade us that it is wholesome, we have a major problem that needs attention – at least by the individual.

The Solution

Although a Bachelor degree in nutritional sciences would help us through the maze, it is important to consult scientific sources that have been properly researched and peer reviewed. It is time to educate ourselves, or at least to make ourselves aware of what is really going on in the world of food.

Fortunately there is a solution to this problem. It is possible to specify the food you eat, guarantee its purity and maintain a healthy body mass whilst redoubling your energy.
